Mark Blyss – Satyananda Yoga

Mark Blyss started Yoga Camp in Queensland. He now co-runs the event in Victoria with Rebekah Hayden.
Helping people create well-being and to reach their fullest potential through yogic principles, simple living, diet and lifestyle choices is Mark’s passion.

Mark is a Satyananda Yoga teacher having studied in Indian and Australian ashrams over the past 20 years.  His teaching style draws on various systems within the yogic science and other disciplines such as martial arts.  Mark teaches dynamic and passive classes which include asanas (postures), pranayamas (breathing practices), meditation, yoga nidra, as well as yoga philosophy. His teaching experience draws from many environments including schools (special education, pre-school, primary, secondary), corporate, correctional institutions and yoga centres.

Kimberley Roberts – Satyananda Yoga

Satyananda Yoga combines physical postures with conscious breath awareness and mindfulness.  Breathing practices are utilised to activate life-force and develop finer states of awareness.  The class concludes with a short meditation to cultivate inner stillness and steadiness.  This class is gentle and nourishing and aims to activate vital energy, soothe the nervous system and deeply nurture body and mind.

Ostii Ananda – Oki Flow Yoga & Thai Yoga Massage (with Natalie)

Oki Flow Yoga is a dynamic, flowing practice, synchronising movement to breath, with an emphasis on grounding, strength and stability, Ostii’s practice focuses on acceptance and nurturing of one’s own body and being, incorporating massage and self-healing techniques of Oki-do yoga. He promotes mindfulness, chanting, pranayama, right diet and community relationship as the foundations of a strong yoga practice.

Thai Yoga Massage (with Natalie): Thai Yoga Massage utilizes yoga postures, passive stretching, acupressure, energy work, massage and meditation to help reduce tension, enhance flexibility, experience deep relaxation and improve overall well being. This workshop will provide an overview of some of the fundamental TYM techniques. No experience necessary. Bring a towel, yoga mat or sheet to lie on.

David Naylor – Happy Yoga

Happy Yoga: A cheeky send-up of a Yoga class that is based on a fusion of Yoga and Disco! It involves some simple stretches and fun musical interludes that will help you to open your laughter meridians. Guru Dudu performs Happy Yoga at workplaces, for team-building and at conferences and festivals to help get people into their joyful bodies.

Billie Atherstone – Kundalini Yoga

Billie is the owner of Kundalini House in Fitzroy North. She is a Kundalini Yoga Teacher, Kinesiologist and Bowen/NST practitioner and studied Kundalini Yoga in Britain at the renowned School of Kundalini Yoga (SKY). She has a passion for the practice of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan, and is always in gratitude and awe of its power to transform the mind, body and spirit.

Muriele Tesauri – Asana Dance

Asana Dance is a journey that takes you to a specific energy centre and starts with a series of yoga postures (asanas) that awakens and activates that particular chakra. It will then flow through into free style dancing starting with slow movements for you to really explore through sound and self expression, and allow what your body needs to shift. We’ll finish with some breathing exercises (Pranayama) and meditation.

Atira Tan – Anusara-Inspired Yoga Flow – Celebrating the Fullness of Life

Atira Tan is an Anusara Inspired Yoga (500 Hours YTT), Expressive Art Therapist and Sacred Dance Facilitator. Her devotion and joy is to empower those she teaches through embodied practices to listen and awaken to their inner wisdom and joy.
Anusara Yoga is a beautiful heart-inspired practice that weaves in universal principles of alignment, spiritual philosophy, breath and movement. In this class, we will be focusing on connecting to the fullness of life which is present in us, and moving with this presence in our asana flow.

Cat McKay

Chi Yoga is based on Japanese Yoga (Oki-do, Ryoho), the meridian system, and TCM 5 elements theory. These fun and dynamic classes are structured with strong intentions based on the seasons, and corresponding meridians and organs. They involve strengthening corrective asanas to stimulate your chi or lifeforce, playful exercises, partner stretching, and massage.
Saturday’s class will focus on the Heart meridian and will be an opportunity to open your heart and playfully meet others at Yoga camp with partner stretching and games. Sunday’s class will focus on the Earth element -Stomach and Spleen, with the intention of establishing positive routines and setting goals for life after Yoga Camp.

Dominic McKay – Internal Martial Arts

This class is an introduction to the internal aspects of the martial arts. In it we focus on the importance of breathing, fluidity of movement, alignment, and the mind through a series of safe and meditative practices.
